The Town of Winthrop’s Planning Commission is a body made up of dedicated volunteers who are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Town Council to serve six year terms. The commission provides advice and recommendations to the Town Council and conducts public hearings as needed or required by Winthrop’s municipal code.
Planning Commission meetings are regularly scheduled to occur on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. Meetings are typically held at Winthrop Town Hall, unless there is to be a public hearing or workshop; on such occasions, meetings will be held in the Hen House at the Winthrop Barn.
